Hello! I've been very much enjoying the many benefits and ease of use writing with Novel Factory provides. I used Scrivener for a few years but now would be very reluctant to go back.
Having said that I'm experiencing a weird ongoing issue: in the scene-writing second draft section most of the time when I hit "ignore" on a red underlined word--which annoyingly happens everytime I use the old "double dash" punctuation--the scene crashes, closing out and returning me to the section that shows all the scenes.
Fortunately the scene can be brought back up from the taskbar with relative ease but it would sure be great if it didn't disappear at all!
Any thoughts?

Hi there - thanks for reporting this bug - we'll look into it right away and get back to you.

“It's extremely useful in organizing and making me think about what I write. The advice was invaluable, and the step-by-step instructions guided me extremely well through the writing process, allowing me to develop characters and plot a lot further than expected.” - See more at:

Hi again,
I guess a solution for this problem was never found? It's pretty frustrating, I have to say, trying to edit a manuscript and having the scene crash all the time.

Huge apologes for not getting back to you, somehow your request got lost. We've looked into it now and we're not able to recreate the problem. Could you please send us your novel file so we can load it up and see if the problem is unique to your project? Please email it to
info@novel-software.com
. Many thanks.

Has this been resolved? My application is crashing at random times and unless I hit save after every word I type I run the risk of losing my work. Any patches available?

Hi Clifford, I believe we've managed to resolve most issues with the software crashing, but the cause can be dependant on users' setups and sometimes can be caused by the uploading of a corrupt image, or something similar. Please could you send your novel file to
info@novel-software.com
so we can take a look and ascertain whether the issue is with the project or the environment?
