Hi NF managers, and various developer wizard types,

Is there a Roll out Estimate Date for NF Desktop V.2?

Any cost for existing V.1 users (FYI, I am willing to pay some amount of upgrade cost)?

I was relieved to learn of an NF Desktop V.2 out on the horizon. I thought the online version might prevail as the only future access to the product.

Everyone in this software genre is under pressure. For example, to determine the Scrivener Win v3 roll out date, just add twelve months to whatever today's date is. Tomorrow, do that again. And so forth.

Cheers,
Wyatt

Hi Wyatt,

Thanks for your message! I'm afraid we can't give any timescales on Desktop V2.0 at the moment - as you allude to with other software projects, it's notoriously difficult to estimate how long a large project will take, so we're not keen on setting any expectations until we feel confident we have at least a slim hope of meeting our assertions.

When we do bring out a 2.0, existing users will be entitled to a discount, and the amount of that discount will depend on how long it is since they bought their 1.0 licence. People who bought very recently will have a free upgrade, whereas users who bought longer ago will have a percentage off.

Does that all make sense?
