When I add a photo, it sometimes rotates it 90 degrees. It's hit or miss (it rotated 2 out of about a dozen) with no discernible reason for picking those two to rotate. They're correct in my gallery.

I tried "outsmarting" it by rotating them in my photo gallery prior to upload...it laughed at me and didn't rotate, leaving me with a crooked photo again. Haha Anyone else had this issue?? Is there a way to edit the photo in Novel Factory to correct?

Thanks

Hi Bentimber - that sounds very curious indeed. It's not something we've experienced in testing and nobody else has reported such a thing to us so far. Could you please email us the images that rotated, so we can try to recreate the issue?

Ok

Good morning!

It happened once when uploading a character photo and again with a location photo.

I've attached the regular photo and the snippet of how it uploaded for the character. The other was a location photo that I removed after it rotated. My apologies, I don't recall exactly which photo in the gallery was doing it now.

Very bizarre. I've just tried uploading it and it hasn't done it for me. Were both of the photos taken on your phone? Were you using your phone to add them or was it on a computer?

Both were taken on phone. Just weird it only did it on a couple. I've tried that same photo 4 times and it rotated each time. I tried outsmarting it and rotating it beforehand, then it left it rotated. Haha I'm not stressing over this, believe me.

So you've used other photos from the phone and not had that problem?
Most odd. Well, please do let me know if it keeps happening!

No worries. Thanks for your help.

May I bother you with one more question? On the attached, what is the function of the "button" I circled, next to my profile button? I thought it was a manual save? I know the online version is auto-saving, so i wasn't sure.

Have a great evening.

Kevin

Hi there - so sorry, something must have gone wrong with our notifications because we've only just seen this latest post.
Yes, the software autosaves very often, but that button is there in case you wish to do an additional force save. This will be unnecessary in most cases, but if you've very quickly made a lot of changes (possibly pasting in info) and then you change page, there's a slim chance you may be faster then the server is at logging the changes. It's for that sort of edge case. Does that make sense?
