Thanks Wyatt

Hi Wyatt, the backups work differently in the online version - we're actually working on a feature called 'Turn Back Time' at the moment, which will allow you to restore your work from pretty much any point in the past - it should be rolling out in the next few weeks. In the meantime, if you need a particular backup, you can email us with details and we should be able to retrieve it for you...

Because of my concerns about the future of the desktop version, I decided to start using the online version. I looked through the manual and didn't find anything on backup. In the msg above you indicated that I would have to coordinate a recovery through NF Support. What is the turnaround time? I presume that depends in part on if Support is at work?

I may seem overly concerned about backups, but I have had some hard lessons on that subject.

Thanks,
Wyatt

Hi Wyatt,

I completely understand. Yes, the turnaround for retrieving backups via support is not going to be immediate, by any means.

But our Turn Back Time feature really is very close to being rolled out, and once that's live, it will offer very extensive options to view past versions of all the major text areas.

But the main thing to know is that if you're using the Online version, your work is saved across multiple servers as well as being backed up to a completely independent system, so should be much safer than being saved on a single computer.
