I hope someone has an answer for me. I jut went through the Head/Tail/Incident exercise and I thought that the software would generate the scenes for me based on what I wrote in the extended synopsis. Instead, I got 47 empty boxes that are labeled Head/Tail/Incident.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi there! Yes, the software does generate scenes for you from the extended synopsis, so there must be a problem somewhere. Can I ask if you're using the Desktop or Online version? And did you use the 'Generate Scenes' button in the Scenes section?

I’m using the online version and I clicked the generate scenes button in the scenes section. Tried it a couple of times. I get 47 blank boxes, but the head/tail designation stays.

HIya - can you send us a screenshot of the blank boxes? You can post it here, or if you'd prefer, you can email it to us at info@novel-software.com

The two filled boxes weren't automated. I copied the contents from the extended synopsis.

Hiya - that's helpful, thanks - could you also post a screenshot of the Generate Scenes popup, as it looked just before you tried to generate the scenes? I.e. with the head and tail scenes selected?

Also, I've done a few screenshots to show how the process works correctly, in case you notice anything that looks different on your that stands out.

1. So first, you should have your extended synopsis filled out, and seperated into paragrphs. It should look something like this:

2. Next you would go to the Scenes section and click Generate Scenes, which will bring up the popup. Once you've played with the head and tail scenes, it might look a bit like this:

3. Once you hit OK, it should show you the scenes with the summaries filled in, not blank as you're experiencing.

I didn't redo the Head/Tail for the purposes of the screenshot, but this is what it looks like,

Thank you for the fix! I just tried generating scenes again, and this time it worked!
