I went to open up my desktop version of NF today in order to ask the activities director of my nursing home to help me learn it. She agreed, and when I opened it, it said version 1.32
which was correct. The actual software, along with my notes on the Premise and Act 1, was nowhere to be found. My friend, Elizabeth Chang, had bought it for me as a gift and I was a registered desktop user. I sent a note to NF about this saying that software has disappeared.
I registered to use the online version so I could redo my work. Do I have to repurchase NF to continue my work? Thank you in advance.

Hi there,
Sorry to hear you're having problems accessing your writing. We already saw and replied to the email you sent us, but that sounded like a slightly different problem.
You definitely don't have to repurchase anything, and it sounds like the best thing would be to get you back up and running on the desktop version, as you've already purchased a licence.
As we said in the email, we have given you an extended 'trial period' so if the problem is with your licence details, you will now be able to open the software and use it.
However, what you've described above sounds more like the software itself is open, but your files are missing.
In the desktop version your files are saved on your local machine, so do you know where they saved? If you don't specify, then they are usually put in the My Documents folder by Windows.
Are you able to look in that folder and see if the files are there?
Hopefully we'll get you back up and running asap. Feel free to reply via the community board or via the email we've sent you.

Spent the past week looking for and trying to recall my password, to no avail. I can get into this forum but can't recall the original PW. The software works, so it's just bit by bit
reconstructing my work. How do I change my PW?

For reference, you can always have you password resent to you via this form: https://www.novel-software.com/passwordretrieval
Which you can access via the contact form on the website.
Note - this is currently for Desktop only, but will be updated soon to give the option for Online password retrieval.
